Lomo 400 35mm
Lomography Color 400 – The Cult Classic
Lomography Color 400 is a film that defies expectations. Originally introduced as a budget friendly alternative to traditional stocks, it quickly gained a following for its soft pastel tones, generous exposure latitude, and slightly unpredictable character. Though rumors abound it’s a repackaged emulsion, that only adds to its mystique. With this custom Lightroom preset and profile pack, I’ve distilled that analog energy into a flexible digital tool, perfect for photographers chasing color with personality.
Despite its “consumer” label, Lomo 400 delivers images full of charm and nuance. Its unique palette leans into gentle magentas, seafoam greens, and soft blues, all wrapped in a glow that feels straight out of a shoebox of family photos. It shines in natural light, whether you’re capturing golden hour portraits, street scenes, or travel moments. With a soft contrast curve and forgiving tones, this emulation is easy to use and endlessly fun to experiment with.
Shoot Freely, With 400 Speed Magic
From scanning real 35mm rolls to sampling hundreds of color points across lighting conditions, we’ve recreated Lomo 400’s character in all its pastel glory, without the quirks of expired film or lab inconsistencies. It’s versatile and full of soul. Whether or not it’s a (*****) in disguise, one thing’s certain, it’s a joy to shoot with, and now just as fun in Lightroom.

Shoot more, repeat at step 1.
Unlike most profiles built with Lightroom’s native tools, these were created through a custom process, sampling hundreds of colors across a wide range of lighting conditions and exposure values. I worked with multiple professional labs to test scans from real film before settling on one that delivered the perfect balance of contrast, color accuracy, and minimal color cast. The goal was simple: to capture the soul of each film stock while keeping the profiles consistent, and easy to use. After testing nearly every preset and profile pack out there, I can confidently say these are some of the most versatile, true to film emulations available today.
These profiles are designed for use in Lightroom, Lightroom Classic and Camera RAW and are compatible with RAW images only.
